River Drums
Sometimes referred to as an ocean drum, the double sided frame drum has a long tradition with shamans and healers. Due to the rattles inside it, this drum has many percussive sounds with all the versatility of a frame drum.
The river drum offers much in exploration of rhythm and movement as well as a worthy tool of healers, ceremonial performers, shamans, dancers, musicians, music therapists and anyone with a passion for the texture of tone (timbre).
I am a River Drum.
I sing of the song of water falling from the sky, dancing over rocks to the ocean, touching sand.
I am a double sided frame drum, made in a sacred manner and infused with Reiki healing symbols.
I am made with goat skins that have been fleshed by my co-creator, Jennifer.
I can be played with hands and fingers, or a beater, and I love to dance.
I am a drum of healing, prayer and play.
