| DRUMMING CIRCLES
DRUM CIRCLES KEMPSEY DRUM AND CHANT WITH SISTA DRUM Women of the Macleay are invited to join us on the First and Third Tuesdays of the Month from 5.30pm to around 8.30pm (February to December inclusive) for a Fabulous evening of drumming and chanting. We meet at The Oddfellows Hall,(Macleay Arts Council)Corner Kemp & Edinborough St, West Kempsey.
6pm - 7pm: Medicine Drum Circle Relax and Unwind from your day as you play the gentle sound of the deer skin medicine drum. Learn how to use your voice to tone and chant. Feel joy and connection in your heart as we chant and drum as one. Food for the Soul.
7pm - 7.30pm; Healing Drum Circle Join with us on a journey encircled by the sound of the drum and the song of the Native American Flute, Chakra Chimes and Singing Bowls. Feel beauty flow within you. A gentle yet powerful experience.
7.30 Supper: " The Icing On The Cake." We provide fresh Spelt bread and Fabulous Cake, assorted teas and plunger coffee. Please bring something to share.
After supper: "Dancing Fingers Frame Drum Circle". Learn how to play in a drum circle during our " Free Drum" Session ; How to find the beat and play drum patterns. Learn techniques of playing the Frame Drum, healing rhythms, up-tempo rhythms, Middle Eastern rhythms and rhythms to suit everywoman. Play other instruments such as Tibetan bells, singing bowls, rattles, rainsticks, river drums, boomwhackers. No musical experience or ability needed. Musicians welcome too!
Cost: $17 Waged, $12 concession
Drums and an interesting variety of percussion instruments are provided. Handouts of chants and Patterns are included.
Our evenings are specifically designed for women, suitable for all ages and abilities. It's great fun, relaxing and invigorating in a safe, friendly enviroment. DRUM AND CHANT HASTINGS WOMEN'S FRAME DRUM CIRCLES We Drum and Chant to gather the Women of the Hastings and invite any who wish, to awaken and deepen, to the beauty of the Frame Drum, and the joy of being in circle and feeling connected with a part of your sacred self. We gather on the 1st Monday of the month at the Mac Adams Music Centre, from 2pm - 4pm.
Relax and unwind as you play the gentle sound of the Deer Skin Medicine Drum. Learn how to use your voice to tone and chant. Feel joy and connection in your heart as we chant and drum as one. Learn techniques of playing the Frame Drum, healing rhythms, up-tempo rhythms, Middle Eastern rhythms and rhythms to suit everywoman. Play other unusual instruments such as Tibetan bells, singing bowls, rattles, rainsticks, river drums, and boomwhackers.
COST: $ 15 waged, $ 10 concession.
